Age-appropriate arts and crafts activities would be another. |

CALLING ALL BOOKWORMS!!!
Does your child enjoy reading books? Little Bookworms is the perfect place for your child. Little Bookworms is a book club offered by Kids Ahoy! This does not entail just reading books, but also socializing and sharing. One of the goals of Little Bookworms is to spark the critical thinking of the children. Here, they will be sessions when they will be reading the same text, and then they will share their own opinions or reactions about the given text. So instead of just one perspective from one child, we will gather all their thoughts! As we all know, two heads are better than one! What more if there are more bookworms out there who are joining, right? In addition, there will also be some sessions set for them to read their preferred book. After they finish reading the book, they will share what the book was about. We will be practicing some reading exercises such as predicting a different outcome to the story, coming up with another title, or even making a new beginning to the story. That would be so much fun! It will definitely stir up the children's imaginations!!
To make reading more enjoyable, we will also be watching book-based children's movies. This will exercise the children's simple discrimination of differences between the two medium - book and movie.
Surely their literacy skills will be developed and practiced.
